Twelve River Ripples

Twelve River Ripples

Suffolk Poetry Society’s New Interactive e-newsletter

Ever-mindful of their members’ little grey cells, the committee of Suffolk Poetry Society has come up with an innovative way to engage and inspire poets during these very difficult times. As announced in the Society’s own highly-praised magazine Twelve Rivers, they have designed an e-newsletter, the content of which is contributed by members for members.

Members are invited to:

  • suggest a favourite poem with a short piece explaining why it is their favourite;
  • contribute a poem of their own;
  • describe their own life as a writer or offer a poetic diversion for Bagatelle;
  • suggest links to interesting and helpful websites they have come across.

If you would like to participate and be inspired by Twelve River Ripples dropping into your e-mail inbox every fortnight, you need to be a member of Suffolk Poetry Society, which offers – in normal circumstances, that is – many varied opportunities to enjoy poetry, your own and others’. You can join in the SPS shop:

You can also read the archive of Ripples on this site if you have logged in. Firstly, if you are a SPS member you may need to register here.

    Best wishes for Ripples, a great idea for sharing words and lifting spirits during this time of threat.
