Bluebell Feast

by Stewart Francis

I missed this year my bluebell feast,
my waterfall, my cascade of blue,
my sea of indigo, blizzard blue, turquoise,
which drenched me through and through
and made me dizzy with its blaze.
I went to sleep with its haze
behind my closed eyes;
by its blueness was woken and blest.
