9th Festival of Suffolk Poetry – Jo Bell ‘Accentuate the Negative’ Online Workshop
Description

Jo Bell's poetry has been heard on Radio 4, in the House of Commons and at Glastonbury Festival. Former director of National Poetry Day, she builds writing communities online and in the real world. Jo is the author of best-selling poetry guides such as 52: Write a Poem a Week. Her latest project, The Poetic Licence, is described as 'a gym subscription for the Muse'.
Accentuate the Negative – a lively, intensive writing session in which you are encouraged to read, talk and (of course) write about people you don't like, groups you aren't part of, things you can't hear, things that never happened and completely empty spaces. Bring a sharp pencil and an open mind.
This is an online Zoom workshop for you to participate and enjoy in your own home. Settle down with your favoured drink and be prepared to think!
