This year we have ‘Tea at the Guildhall’, Hadleigh* on Sunday 7th September 3-5pm with Rachael Boast. Suffolk-based poet Rachael Boast will give a talk and reading on the theme of ‘Timeslips’. Rachael has four collections published by Picador (Sidereal 2011, Pilgrim’s Flower 2013, Void Studies 2016 and Hotel Raphael 2021). She edited the recently published Bloodaxe anthology Versus Versus – 100 poems by deaf, disabled and neurodivergent poets (2025). Contributions of cakes or other edibles would be very welcome.
Parking: As the event is being held on a Sunday, parking in Hadleigh will be free. The entrance to the Guild Room is opposite the entrance to St Mary’s Church.
The nearest car park is Toppesfield car park at Market Place, Hadleigh, IP7 5DR. The entrance to the Guild Room is on the left, opposite the Church as you leave the car park.
If that car park is full, drivers can park in the street or park in High Street Car Park which is accessed via Magdalen Road, Hadleigh, Ipswich IP7 5EF (exit by foot on the High Street, cross towards the Market Place and turn right when you see the Church).
