9th Festival of Suffolk Poetry Afternoon

The afternoon of the live day of the 9th festival saw three of Suffolk’s Poetry Cafés present their wares, Waveney Poets, Felixstowe Café Poets and Poetry Aloud (Bury St Edmunds).

Joining them was Dave Tonge, the Yarnsmith of Norwich, who performed twice during the afternoon to provide a break from the poetry.

Joanna Ingham, Richard Whiting and Derek Adams provided close readings.

Joanna Ingham also provided a reading of poems from her book Ovarium.

Mina Gorji headlined the afternoon via Zoom, due to a railway strike that prevented her attending in person.

The afternoon then concluded with the usual Open Mic session (see here).
