Blue Glacier

Blue glacier stretching across the mountains
Snow impacted over thousands of years
Crevasses and ravines on its surface
Walls of ice falling into the water
Icebergs breaking away into the lake
Moving and turning.
Blue is the colour of the ice.
Refracting sunlight and cooling the earth
Ice melting in the summer and accumulating in winter
Other glaciers are shrinking but this one’s balanced
Water coming from the rivers into the lake
People flock to see it.
One of the wonders of the earth,
